Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) is an essential consideration in modern planning and development.
From February 2024, all major developments will be legally required to demonstrate a 10% net gain in biodiversity, with smaller sites following from April 2024. This ensures that new developments contribute positively to the environment by leaving biodiversity in a better state than before.

1. BNG Baseline Assessment (Phase 1)
A BNG Baseline Assessment is the first step in understanding the biodiversity value of your site before development proposals are finalised. This assessment includes:

- BNG Calculation & Reporting – Providing a detailed BNG metric demonstrating net gain achievements.
- Management & Monitoring Plan – Outlining how biodiversity enhancements will be maintained long-term.
