To support our growing portfolio of projects, we are looking to expand our subcontractor network, working with skilled and passionate seasonal ecologists who can contribute to our diverse range of surveys and assessments.
Whether you are an experienced ecological consultant, a licensed specialist (particularly in bat ecology), or a graduate looking to gain practical field experience, we offer exciting subcontracting opportunities to work alongside an experienced and supportive team.

Sub-contracting Opportunities
We are actively seeking subcontractors to assist with the following ecological services:
Bat Surveys & Nocturnal Ecology
- Emergence & Re-Entry Surveys – Conducting evening bat surveys using advanced acoustic monitoring equipment.
- Transect Surveys – Recording bat activity across key locations to assess species presence and behaviour.
- Specialist Bat Work – We welcome subcontractors with bat licences (Level 1 and above) to support licensed bat mitigation and handling.
Daytime Ecological Assessments
- Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA) – Supporting field assessments and reporting.
- Protected Species Surveys – Contributing to habitat assessments for bats, great crested newts, reptiles, badgers, dormice, birds, and water voles.
- Habitat & Vegetation Surveys – Assisting with site mapping and condition assessments.
Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW)
- Supporting on-site mitigation, monitoring, and ecological compliance for development projects.
- Providing professional on-site guidance to ensure projects meet legal and planning obligations.
Supporting Reptile & Bird Surveys
- Conducting reptile presence/absence surveys and assisting in translocation projects.
- Undertaking breeding bird and vantage point surveys in a range of habitats.
Who Should Apply?
We are keen to work with experienced ecological professionals, licensed specialists, and new ecologists looking to develop field experience. We welcome applications from:

Seasonal Contract Work
Alongside subcontracting roles, we also offer seasonal contractual work, ideal for ecologists looking for short-term employment with the potential for further opportunities. These roles align closely with our subcontracting work but provide more structured seasonal contracts for those wanting to gain experience and stability.
